Biography

A painter and engraver. A senior official in the administration under Napoleon and then under the Savoys, he was an amateur watercolourist and an etcher. From Bagetti he acquired a talent for a delicate form of objectivity. Through D. Vivant Denon he showed his works at the Paris Salon of 1812, where he won the gold medal. He bequeathed almost all his works to the City of Turin.
