Biography

After studying drawing in Rovereto, he moved to Florence in 1915, and later studied electrical engineering in Pisa and Milan. After this he turned to sculpture, with P. Canonica in Turin (1925) and A. Wildt at Brera (1928), where he met Fontana. In 1934 he joined the "Milione" group in Milan, putting on his first solo show in 1935. In the 1940s and '50s he worked mainly with ceramics, receiving the first of numerous honours
