Biography

An architect, designer and interior decorator, he was an eminent figure in the post-war world of architecture in Turin and Italy, shunning "rationalist" geometry in favour of a free invention of form. He graduated in Architecture from the Albertina in Turin (1931) and created highly original works (RAI Auditorium in 1950-53, the Chamber of Commerce in 1965-72), which culminated in the reconstruction of the Teatro Regio (1965-73).
